I want to just take a few minutes and talk about the realities of any Home Based Business.

There are several actions that we all must do in order to grow our group and our incomes. While all are important to the accomplishment of the goal, only ONE ACTION produces income to you… enrolling a customer or business partner.

Every Leader in the company from the owner down is dedicated to help you learn to do that regularly and easily.

The founder has developed a business model where you can advance to the top rank in the company by simply enrolling just a handful of people and helping them learn to do the same. Doing it successfully is a learned skill, just like riding a bicycle. You master that skill by practice and repetition. We want you to master that skill.

What’s in it for you if you do? Improved Financial Condition at a minimum, Total Financial Security and Freedom is within the reach of everyone, and True Wealth is possible.

What does it take for you to do it? Desire, Belief, Passion, Commitment and Consistent Action – done in a certain way. We are committed to teaching you that certain way.

How much will you earn for doing it? I can honestly tell you that you can earn whatever you want to earn and are willing to allow yourself to receive through this plan. Whether it is $500, $5000, $50,000 or more, it is all possible in this plan. We want it for you, the question is do you want it for yourself and are you willing to learn what you need to to have it?

Enrolling is a three step process consisting of: Approach & Pique Interest – Presentation – Close . They are three separate and distinct actions or steps.

The single biggest challenge that ALL of us face in this Endeavor, from the least experienced beginner in our Industry to the most accomplished high income earner, is HOW DO YOU GET A PERSON TO ACTUALLY LOOK AT OR LISTEN TO WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO COMMUNICATE TO THEM?

The answer lies in the Art of Approaching & Piquing Interest in your prospect, and is applicable to EVERY situation in which you are trying to get someone’s attention. Please notice that I DIDN”T say “the answer lies in the Art of Approaching & Regurgitatingeverythingyouknoworthinkyouknoworbelievetobetrueaboutthesubjectthatyouaretryingtoimpart.

Get the Picture? Success for all of us lies in avoiding the “HARE KRISHNA” effect, those of you who are old enough to remember the religious zealots in every airport in the world during the 70’s, will know what I mean. The point is we want to prevent a “GET AWAY FROM ME” response in the people we approach.

The Approach & Pique Interest is the critical step in the process.
WE HUMANS HAVE CURIOSITY. When we become curious about something, WE WILL SUSPEND OTHER OPERATIONS and thoughts and focus on what we are curious about UNTIL SUCH POINT WE HAVE SATISFIED OUR CURIOSITY about that thing. It is normal human behavior.


Now, many of you are already successfully recruiting and enrolling people in your Home Based business, and I applaud you and your success. It proves that there are many different approaches and dialogues possible to accomplish the Goal of Approaching & Piquing Interest. The reality is that some of them are dependent on the skill, talent, or stature of the person utilizing that approach and therefore not broadly applicable to everyone in our business.

What I attempt to do when I engage in a company, is to find the simplest dialogue that EVERYONE CAN use if they choose to, to successfully accomplish the job of Approaching & Piquing Interest.

This is the critical skill, I’m sure you will agree. If you never get to show the person what you have, it doesn’t matter what you have.

For the time I join a company, I experiment with DIALOGUES that produce the highest percentage of positive outcomes in the people I speak to. I now have an approach that is producing the desired result (ENROLLMENT) in over 50% + of the people I speak to.

First, I want to give you three words NOT TO USE in the Approach& Pique Interest step…

“OPPORTUNITY”, “BUSINESS” and “COMPANY”. I found that they caused the majority of people to disqualify themselves before I could show them anything.

Well, Geez, if I can’t say that, what do I say? Here is the exact pattern I use with every person I approach:

Hi, _______ This is (your name), Have you got a minute?
(YES) Great! Quick question for you, Do you know anyone that would like to get (your product/service).
(YES) Great! I want you to make time to visit my website. It will require about 15 – 20 minutes. Can you do that right now? (YES) Perfect. Thanks.

Go to (YOUR WEBSITE) to learn about it and call me back when you are done. I’ll be in touch, if I don’t hear from you today, okay? Thanks.

That is the end of Approach & Pique Interest step, I’m now into the PRESENTATION step, using the website AND TOOLS to do the presentation.

What if they say (NO) it is not a good time or they are not at their computer? Then I say:
No problem, when will you make the time to be on your computer?
Great, Call me then or I’ll call you, this is too cool.

If they say: “What is this about, can you give me a hint? Do not answer their question, because you will have satisfied their curiosity, you haven’t shown them anything and the likelihood of them moving forward goes way down.

Listen, (their name), a picture is worth a thousand words, when you get on the computer it will be very clear to you immediately and I believe you will see it is worth your time. I’m looking forward to hear your take. Bye now.

Dear Family,
I want to recognize a very special member of our family, Arne Rantzen. I first met Arne about 16 months ago through a mutual friend. We were both promoting another company at the time, sideline to one another. Arne and his partner, Monica Garaycoechea, and Nancy and I developed a wonderful friendship in a very short period of time.
Part of that bond was due to similar backgrounds and life experiences, but a major component was the level of Spiritual Consciousness that each operated from. They are both experienced trainers in Self-Development and Consciousness Awareness, and provided National and International Workshops in those areas.
Many of you, I’m sure understand the concept that our Inner Being or Consciousness is responsible for the manifestations experienced by our Outer Being or Physical Self. In short, what you Believe and how you Feel about something determines how that something will be manifested in your LIFE, ranging from not at all to limitless abundance.
A corollary to that is that what you focus on is what you manifest more of.
The reason I’m telling you this is as a background for applauding Arne and his spectacular start this week. We have had several challenges. Some people chose to focus on the challenge as an upset and complains about it. Most people take it in stride and simply wait for it to cahnge. A few people focus on this as an advantage of more time to build their future. One of those few was Arne Rantzen.
Arne made it an art form and has created outstanding results – manifestation in abundance. Congratulations Arne and Team.
How did he do this you might ask, and therein lies the value for each of us.

My hat is off to Arne. He chose to focus solely on the end result he wanted and paid no attention to any obstacles that could slow or deter the result. He then took productive action daily that moved him constantly toward his goal. As a result, he manifested the desired result in Abundance.
We all have the ability and potential to do the same thing for ourselves.
Look inward and ask yourself if you are focusing on the goal or on the obstacles that you create or perceive? The great thing is, regardless of your answer, that it is a choice in your total control. To change your results you simply have to change your focus.
Is it worth it? You decide. In this business model simply enrolling 3 business partners who do the same, along with a few customers can result in a personal income to you of 6 or 7 figures a year in less than 2 years. BELIEVE IT… that is the first step!

One of the byproducts of our privileged lives is the fact that we can have instant gratification of our wants as well as our needs.

Feeling hungry? No problem, just drive a quarter mile in any direction and you will pass 100 locations where you can buy food of every description. Want to buy something? No problem, just use a credit card. Instant gratification is a wonderful thing on one side of the coin, but on the other side, it can breed a sense of entitlement; and more insidiously frustration and anger at any perceived delay in the obtainment of that which is desired at that moment.

The ability to have instant gratification has become an obsession to have instant gratification on all fronts for many people. Obsessions are not healthy behavior. I believe that the obsessive need for instant gratification is probably what leads the people who chose to discontinue with any business to make that decision.

It really is astonishing to me, that some find 1- 2 years to unparalleled financial security to be too slow in their minds. It is not “instant” enough gratification. What makes me laugh is how “instant “ it is compared to the 50 hours a week/ 50 weeks a year/50 years model that most of society has gone into agreement with as a life business model.

I believe they are confused as regards the goal of a business. They believe the distorted stories of HUGE money fast, which is the goal in some MLM companies for good reason; rather than to make significant, stable, residual money over time.

They think that the goal is to be there (big money), and I say the goal is the journey to there; the goal is the fun and joy you have along the way, on your way to there.

Why do I think that way and what do I mean? For the parents out there, the simplest analogy I can give is to imagine that the time frame from birth to full maturation of our children is 2 months instead of 20 years. How much fun, love and joy would all of us miss out on by losing 19 years of the journey?

From a business perspective, growing a steadily increasing stable business and income over time brings personal growth, increased knowledge, satisfaction, gratification, creativity and joy in the journey that is irreplaceable. The challenge that we all face is our limited human view of every situation in life and the relentless barrage of both internal self-talk and external input that seeks to instill fear and anxiety into every thought and action that we have and do.

Your personal results will be based on the choices you make. Are you willing to make the choice that this time you are going to make it, and commit to staying the course for 24 months? Are you willing to make the choice that this time you are not going to allow yourself to slack off and justify it? Are you willing to learn the mindset and the skill set necessary to achieve your financial security?

Folks, we have the simple system that you can follow to achieve your success. Would that choice be worth it if you create a monthly stable, passive, residual income of $500, $5000, $50,000 or more for yourself and your family? Many are, and you can too. It is just a choice that you make. I hope you choose to prosper.

We have often heard that Patience is a virtue. And like all virtues, it is sometimes difficult to practice.

WEBSTER’s defines patience as “the bearing of annoyance, misfortune, setbacks, delays etc. without complaint, loss of temper or irritation. An ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance in waiting. Quiet perseverance”.

I would like to expand that definition to include the following: What true patience is, is knowing that you want it and knowing that it’s coming and actually enjoying the unfolding along the way.

Understand that you never get it done as fast as you think you want to get it done. So you might as well be patient. Remember that each and everyone of us co-creates our reality with God and therein lies the challenge. God’s time is infinite, and we need it done yesterday!

The events of our lives are the sum of all the beliefs that we hold about ourselves and life. Beliefs are nothing more than repetitive thoughts.

A new twist on that idea is that whatever you’re thinking about is literally like planning a future event. When you’re worrying, you are planning. When you are appreciating, you are planning…What are you planning? Worrying is using your imagination to create something you don’t want. Worrying is low tone vibration.

Your abundance is a response to your vibration. Of course, your belief is the “engine” of your vibration. If you will relax and begin saying, “Everything occurs in its perfect time. Everything is unfolding. And I’m enjoying where I am now, in relationship to where I’m going, content where I am, and eager for more,” that is the perfect vibrational stance.

What am I driving at? It is normal to worry, it is human to worry. We worry when things are going great, and we really worry when they appear not to be. And that goes for everyone, believe it or not. The advantage that Leaders have is that they can see how the entire business is progressing and that perspective helps to alleviate the worry.

This is working just like we were told, and it is working for you. The only way it will not work is if you make the conscious decision to quit, stop all activity.

Why would anyone quit? The answer lies I think in the Inspiration for the Day, I once sent out. One of the amazing wonders of our universe is the fact that caterpillars and butterflies are 2 expressions of the same Beingness. A caterpillar has no consciousness of its ability to fly, yet we learned that in the struggle to emerge from the cocoon, it creates the strength and morphology and consciousness of a butterfly which allows it to fly.

We are all that caterpillar when we embark on our business venture, and many will have the patience and courage to persevere and emerge as butterflies in two years. Some sadly will not. What is the difference? For many, it is that inner voice of doubt, the inner saboteur that reinforces all the negative beliefs and fixed ideas that have held us back in life.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your Life, and it can be the first day that you take a stand against the inner negativity and doubt. Plug into the calls, Webinars and trainings and apply what you learn. Do it for yourself and your family’s future security. The choice is yours to make, whither and die as a caterpillar or soar as a butterfly. I hope you FLY!

Two people join the same company on exactly the same day. One goes on to become one of the top money earners in the company, and the other tries and lingers for 6 months and then quits and joins another company. Sound familiar? Has one or the other happened to you?

We all have exactly the same circumstances, yet the reality is that some of you will seize the moment and make the most of it, take action and achieve the success and goals you set for yourself, while some, sadly, will not. Some will make excuses rather than headway; they will find fault rather than fame.

My purpose here today, friends, is to hopefully share some insights into why that is, and, in the process, tip your scales in favor of success and fame.

You see there are some secrets that I know, and other leaders you have heard from know, that I am going to impart to you for your use and benefit.

I hope that you will take some notes and take the information to heart.
What’s fun is that the secrets are so simple , that I’ve named them the “ABCs of MLM Success”.

The “A” stands for ATTITUDE and it is the cornerstone of success in our Industry and arguably in life.
WEBSTER’s defines attitude as the “Manner, disposition, feeling, etc., with regard to a person or thing; tendency or orientation, esp. of the mind. I’d like to expand that definition and add that “attitude is the general pattern of thought that a person manifests”.

Why is that important? You all know the answer to that. You’ve all heard the expression “woke up on the wrong side of the bed”.

What is the general course of events when you wake in a negative or low-tone attitude? Generally poor or worse, right? What is the course of your day generally, when you awake in a positive or high-tone attitude? Generally good or better, right? Everyone of us has experienced just what I’ve described. Is it just coincidence?

Now, I’d ask you to reflect on what is your predominant attitude, day in day out, week in week out and what effect might that have on the events in your life? Do you view yourself as predominantly positive and high-tone or negative or low-tone? That, friends, becomes your chronic attitude and is a good predictor of the events in your life, and in this business, and how you view them.

Now, if we accept that attitude is the general pattern of thought that a person manifests, then your chronic attitude is your chronic pattern of thought. Why is that important? Quite simply stated, thoughts become things. The very reality of every event your daily life is the manifestation of a thought or thought pattern that you had at some point previous in time. This is not mysterious, it can be quite conscious and deliberate, such as you thinking, “ I need a new toaster” and you go and buy one, or “ I think I will attend the Super-Saturday training” and here you are. The catch is that chronic patterns of thought often become habitual and unconscious and the results in your life reflect that just as predictably.

The reason for this is that all life is energy and all energy has a frequency associated with it. Thoughts are energy and they can be high-toned, high energy, high frequency or low toned , low energy, low frequency. Now in the physical universe, there are fundamental laws such as “The Law of Gravity” which define normal. One of these is called “The Law of Attraction” which is simply stated as “like attracts like”.

The easiest way to understand this is to observe the phenomenon of tuning forks. They are tuned to very specific frequencies or tones. If you have two sets of tuning forks, and you strike one fork, the matching fork in the other series will begin to vibrate or harmonize with the frequency, while the other forks have no response.

This is important to understand, particularly in reference to your Home Based business, because your attitude will dictate how many challenges, disappointments, and set-backs you perceive, and more importantly how you respond to the challenges, disappointments, and set-backs associated with building your business.

The truth is that you will get what you expect or focus on. If you think it will be difficult and slow and hard to build, that will be your experience. If you think that it will be fast, fun and profitable, then that will be your experience. Either way you will be right!

But here is the good news; you get to choose your attitude. That’s right, you have a choice. You can consciously and deliberately choose to have or develop a positive, upbeat attitude or a down-tone one. It may take some work on personal development, but which one would you rather have?

Here’s a clue. Leaders tend to have a predominantly positive, upbeat attitude, focused on what is right with the business, with a solution oriented response to problems or challenges they encounter. They tend to think about or visualize how good it will be to experience the success of achieving their perceived goal. This strong attitude is the foundation for a strong “B” in the “ABCs of Home Based Business Success.

The “B” stands for beliefs, and beliefs are the foundation of our experiences.

Webster’s defines “belief” as “to have confidence in the truth, the existence or the reliability of something, although WITHOUT absolute proof that one is right in doing so”. A belief is defined as “confidence in the truth or existence of something not immediately susceptible to rigorous proof”. All beliefs contain an element of doubt, otherwise they would be “knowingnesses”.

I would like to expand that definition to include “A belief is only a thought that you keep thinking, a repetitive thought”.

Why is this important to you in your Home Based business? The reason is that only when someone has a strong belief in something can he act purposefully. Strong belief is the backbone of confidence, conviction and certainty. Strong belief is the springboard of action. A strong belief is the blueprint that defines the future reality of your endeavor.

A strong belief in the company, the ownership, the products, the system and the leadership is essential to you taking the steps and actions necessary to ensure your progress in the company. A strong belief in your ability to succeed is the foundation of your success. Again, if you believe you will, you will; if you believe you won’t, you won’t. Either way you will be right.

Now the challenge is that we all have fixed ideas, or repetitive thought patterns that don’t serve us. It might be “I failed because Mary mislead me” or “successful people are evil, greedy people” or “money is the root of all evil”. You can undoubtedly come up with one or two that you run on yourself repeatedly. How do you recognize a negative fixed idea? One, it is used as your “excuse” for failing to achieve your best, and two, when you think it or say it, it makes you feel low tone.

Noticing how things are turning out for you is one very clear way of understanding which belief or thought you are emanating, because you always get the essence of what you are thinking about, whether you want it or not.

But here is the great news:
You Have Complete Control Over Your Own Beliefs… You can find yourself in an endless loop where you explain that you feel negative because of some fixed idea or belief. But if, instead, you take control of your own emotions and you think an improved thought because it feels better to do so, you will discover that no matter how the negative trend got started, you can turn it around.

Your beliefs are only repetitive patterns of thought that you have a choice to continue to think and believe or not. If a current belief or thought pattern is not serving you and producing the results you want, doesn’t it make sense to change that belief or thought pattern? It can be done, it just takes practice.

You can say things like: Only good things come to me. . . I’ll figure it out as I go along. .. Every time you tell your better-feeling story, you will feel better and the details of your life and business will improve. The better it gets, the better it gets.

Leaders tend to have strong beliefs that are optimistic and lead to a sense of Well-being.

I’m asking you to develop a belief or trust in your own ability to create Well-being. In optimism there is magic. In pessimism there is nothing. In positive expectation there is thrill and success. In pessimism or awareness of what is not wanted, there is nothing.

I’m not asking you to look at something that is black and call it white. I’m not asking you to see something that is not as you want it to be and pretend that it is. What I am asking you to do is practice moving your gaze. Practice changing your perspective. Practice talking to different people. Practice going to new places. Practice sifting through the data for the things that feel like you want to feel and using those things to cause you to feel joy.

In other words, I want you to practice and become familiar with your joy. Familiar in your positive expectation, familiar in your knowing that all is well, because your life and your business will give you evidence of that Well-being once you find that place.

Now that you practicing strong positive attitudes and have developed strong productive beliefs, you are ready to learn the “C” of the “ABCs of Home Based Business Success”.

The “C” stands for Commitment, the final determining factor in the level of your success.

Webster defines commitment as: “to pledge oneself or express one’s intention to a position, issue or outcome; to bind or obligate”. I would expand that definition as: “the willingness to persevere on a course of action until the stated goal is achieved, regardless of obstacles or impediments.

Simply stated, you never give up, you don’t desert your team members and you find solutions to challenges until the goal is achieved.

The real challenge here is, who is the one person who is most likely to cut you slack, let you slide and overlook your lack of commitment? The answer is obvious and the same for all of us… Ourself!

How many fixed ideas or excuses do you have to justify your lack of follow through?

Leaders follow through. They honor their commitments to the company, their team, their family and to themselves. Leaders never quit. Leaders are the people who have to be reminded of the expression “when the horse dies, dismount!”. Leaders are winners and winners never quit, quitters never win.

Quitting is so seductive, because it is so easy to quit. The problem is that it doesn’t feel good and it sets up a pattern of downspiral in business and in life.

The good news is that honoring your commitment or quitting is a choice. Is your current company the company that you will commit to seeing through to your goal, regardless of your past history? Is this the first time that you will plant your flag and stake you claim to the success and abundance that God intends for each of us?

In closing, I want to thank you all for allowing me to speak. It has been a pleasure for me and I hope for you. I hope I helped you understand that your business and your life can be as wonderful or as unpleasant as you allow it to be. I hope you see that it all depends upon the thoughts that you practice. And therein lays the basis of anyone’s success: How much do I practice thoughts that bring me joy, and how much do I practice thoughts that bring me pain? You’re always getting a perfect manifestation of what you predominantly give your attention to. But you’ve got to make the best of it. You’ve got to think slightly different about where you are if you are going to improve where you are.

You can’t keep taking score of where your business is or your life is, without continuing to create it as it is. To make improvement, you’ve got to reach for a different thought.

And remember, the beginning of the success of your business is right now. It will always be right now. You might as well decide to start enjoying and growing your business right now, because it’s not ever going to get better than right now–until you decide to make it better right now!
